Welcome to SWAMI VIVEKANANDA HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL

The School was started in 1947 and is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee. It was started as a Middle School in 1947 in Pandanad on the banks of the Holy River Pamba by Brahmasree Mithramatam Vasudeva Bhattathiri. Name of the School was 'SreeMithrasadanam'.

The School was upgraded to Sree Mithrasadanam High School in 1950.

Vivekananda Educational and Charity Trust was registered in 1983 and took ownership of the School and the School was renamed as Swami Vivekananda High School. English Medium also was started parallel to Malayalam Medium.

The School was upgraded to Higher Secondary in 2014 with Science and Commerce Batches.
The School is keeping high Standards in Sports and Art related activities and have won many prizes in Inter School Competition. The School is in the process of starting “Kalakshethra” to identify talented students and train them in different Art Forms.

The School is giving a lot of importance to Extra Curricular Activities of our Students and have many Clubs to promote their talents. Many Students are getting Scholarships like N.M.M.S., M.T.S.C., and U.S.S.

All High School classes have been upgrade to Smart Classrooms to enable students to get High-tech Education. There is a High-tech Computer Lab with Laptops so that many Students can use the Computers simultaneously. There are very modern Laboratories to enable Students to do Experiments and Observations.

There is a large Library with Books on various subjects to develop reading habits in students and to enable them clear doubts in their field of study.

An Auditorium is being built with a capacity to seat 1500 students. There is a fleet of 7 Buses to transport students to and from the School. There are several Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV Cameras) in the School to ensure security of the Students. Students are always under observation by the Security Staff. There is a very hygienic and modern Kitchen to give nutritious Lunch to our Students.
